From the North on the A7 motorway

Exit n°23, "Avignon Nord".
After the toll, take the D942 (Carpentras / Sorgues / Vedène)
After 800m, take the Vedène exit onto the D6. Stay on the D6 towards St Saturnin / Cavaillon. When you get to St Saturnin les Avignon, continue straight on at the roundabout (do not take the centre ville exit slightly to the right). Turn left at the second set of lights towards Pernes les Fontaines / Le Thor (D28)
Continue for 2.5km, then turn right onto the D98 towards Le Thor
After 1.4km, turn left onto the Chemin du Réal de Montclard
Le Mas de la Martelière is 600m along that road.

From the South on the A7 motorway

Exit n°24, "Avignon Sud".
200m after the toll, take the slip road on the right towards Avignon
At the large roundabout you come to, turn left towards Apt / L'Isle sur Sorgue / Caumont on the D973
1km later, turn left towards Caumont / Le Thor. Cross Caumont and, at the lights, turn left then right towards Le Thor (D1)
When you get to Le Thor, follow signs to Velleron / Entraigues / Grottes de Thouzon (D16)
Cross the first roundabout, continue to a second roundabout where you turn left towards Althen les Paluds / Entraigues / Grottes de Thouzon (D16)
After 1.6km, you pass the Grottes de Thouzon on the left
50m later, turn left into the chemin du Réal de Montclard
Le Mas de la Martelière is 900m further on.

Places of interest in our region

  • Avignon, the Popes' City, a historical city where the French papacy has left its mark, and home of the famous theatre festival in July.
  • L'Isle sur la Sorgue, with it's 300 antique shops and open-air stalls, open on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays throughout the year, home of two large fairs at Easter and the 15th August which draw antiques experts from around the world.
  • The river source at Fontaine de Vaucluse in an attractive natural setting.
  • Gordes and l'Abbaye de Sénanque, as well as numerous other Luberon hilltop villages such as Roussillon (with its ocre quarries), Bonnieux, Ménerbes, Oppède le Vieux, Cucuron, Lourmarin, Apt...
  • Velleron, 5km away, with it's peasant market, one of the ten finest in France. The quality of the fruit and vegetables sold there is simply unbeatable!
  • Le Comtat Venaissin and the Haut Vaucluse, including the Dentelles de Montmirail and the legendary Mont Ventoux up which it is possible to cycle... Not forgetting the marvellous villages of Venasque, Pernes les Fontaines, Mormoiron, Bédoin, Malaucène, Vaison la Romaine...
  • The "wine trail" that will take you through Cairanne, Séguret, Sablet, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Beaumes-de-Venise, Châteauneuf du Pape...
  • Les Alpilles, towards Saint Rémy and les Baux de Provence. Then you come to the villages of Maussane les Alpilles, famous for its olive oil, Fontvieille and Daudet's mill, Mouriès, Eygalières...
  • Uzès and the exceptional Pont du Gard on your doorstep.
  • Arles and the Camargue reaching as far as Saintes Maries de la Mer and Aigues Mortes.
  • Marseille, an hour's drive away, with the calanques of Cassis or the Côte Bleue.
  • Golfers can choose between three 18-hole courses within 20 minutes of the Mas, at Saumane, Morières les Avignon and Vedène.
